Great seafood with a waterfront view!! The seafood was fresh and hot. Hushpuppies with onion are the best. Ordered a seafood plater with scallops,fish and shrimp. Along with just a shrimp platter for my wife. We both enjoyed the food and service with Hanna. Highly recommend stopping in southport for some great food with a beautiful view.
We had a wonderful dinner tonight at Oliver's. We were greeted warmly by Barbara who welcomed us and was able to get us seated at a table with a beautiful water view. Our server, Walt, was so friendly, was highly professional and offered excellent recommendations for our menu choices. I enjoyed the crab cakes and my husband had the fried flounder - both delicious. Walt's service was excellent and a shout out to Devon who served us at the bar for a quick drink before being seated. All in all a very great experience! We will return. Five stars!
We went to Oliver’s for the first time today. We both ordered Sammy’s Shrimp and a salad. The Southern Winter Salad was a delightful surprise. What stood out the most was the harmonious mixture of Arugula, dried sweetened cranberries and maple flavored pecans with balsamic dressing . And the shrimp... perfectly pan fried. A wedge of lemon squeezed over the shrimp and a sweet chili dipping sauce made it some of the best seafood I have ever eaten. Considering the service, (the wait staff were pleasant and energetic) the absolutely FRESHEST ingredients, and the view of Southport’s historic waterfront, makes this restaurant the crown jewel of the City’s vibrant food scene.
We were so happy we found Oliver’s. We sat outside in covered seating. There was a fan blowing right above us so it keeps you cool while still enjoying the views. They also have a nice indoor restaurant and outside right on the water seating. They do ask not to feed the seagulls. I can understand why. They just hang around waiting for a handout! But they aren’t bothersome at all, just fun to watch. The food we chose was incredible. The grilled shrimp added to the Caesar salad I highly recommend. The lobster bisque soup was also amazing! The atmosphere of the restaurant is so peaceful. It’s right on the water so the view is incredible. The staff was so friendly too. We had a toddler with us and she loved the chicken tenders and fries. It came with a lot of food too! Tasty cocktails and beer was an added bonus!

One of our favorite places to go in Southport. We love Oliver's huge windows with beautiful views of the water. We love LOVE Oliver's Summer Salad (or Fall Salad or Winter Salad). It comes with different seasonal variations of fresh fruit, nuts, and cheeses but the dressing is always the same - DELICIOUS. For the last coupe of times, our server Cathy made our lunch even more special with her cheerful attitude and professional service. (Thank you, Cathy)
Food, service, and atmosphere were all 10 out of 10. I will always recommend Oliver's. I love this place. Our server Regina (Gina) was extremely sincere and helpful. She is the best.
